There is only one ChiArts; a place for learning, creating, performing, and discovering one’s potential. It is the only public high school in Chicago dedicated to pre-professional arts training. While a lot has changed since ChiArts welcomed the first freshman class in 2009, the mission to develop the next generation of diverse, artistically promising scholar-artists remains the same. ChiArts Foundation accepts gifts in the form of stock or securities. To donate stock, please email [email protected] to inform us of the name of the securities you intend to transfer, the number of shares, and the approximate dollar amount. This information will ensure we can accurately process and recognize your generous contribution.

Upon receipt of the shares, ChiArts Foundation’s broker will liquidate the securities in the most cost effective manner for the Foundation. You will receive an acknowledgment letter from ChiArts Foundation following the transfer, but please consult your tax accountant for the specific tax benefits you may receive for your contribution.

Kerfuffle! 2024
On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the Foundation will host its annual spring benefit Kerfuffle! at Morgan Manufacturing in the West Loop to support the Music, Theatre, Dance, Creative Writing, and Visual Arts conservatories at The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts). The event welcomes over 350 supporters, arts partners, and civic leaders to celebrate ChiArts’ public, pre-professional, and 100% donor-funded arts conservatories, serving over 600 students from all of Chicago’s 50 wards. Throughout the event, creative commotion takes center stage as guests explore the worlds of ChiArts’ scholar-artists at this unconventional student performance-driven cocktail and dinner experience. Be prepared for a one-of-a-kind evening with spectacular live performances, poetry stations, and visual art showcasing how ChiArts is changing the Chicago arts community and beyond.
